Vocational Creative Craft

The creative craft and woodwork curriculum aims to deliver a broad, balanced and flexible curriculum that enables students to understand the craft industry, develop knowledge and skills that will allow progression within this sector.

The aim of this qualification is to enable learners to develop basic skills in craft and woodwork, provide learners with underpinning knowledge of different woodwork processes and provide learners with a basis for progression into further study in craft related areas. 

Although the main focus of the course is woodwork it also develops learners more broadly, so they are prepared with the knowledge, skills and understanding to pursue a career in any area of craft.

Throughout this course students will develop a portfolio of work in craft, use materials, tools and equipment correctly and safely and develop an understanding of health and safety considerations in the working environment.
