Beacon of Light School Has Joined Laidlaw Schools Trust
BackLaidlaw Schools Trust, committed to transforming the lives of children and communities through extraordinary education, have announced that Beacon of Light School, Sunderland, will become a Laidlaw Schools Trust Academy.
Laidlaw Schools Trust and Beacon of Light School share a mission to transform lives through extraordinary education in the North East. ‘Learn More, Do More, Be More’ is the Beacon of Light Schools vision, and by joining a larger Multi Academy Trust, we can ensure the young people who attend this alternative provision school have access to bigger and better opportunities. Collectively sharing and designing pedagogical best practices and offering diverse professional development opportunities for staff.
Beacon of Light School’s Head Teacher, Denise Taylor, brings to the Trust a wealth of experience in working with young people who have additional challenges to overcome to ‘Be More’, and we have no doubt that together we will embrace this opportunity to grow through collaboration.
