Quality in Careers Award

Following the outcome of the Inspiring IAG assessment visit, I am delighted to inform you that The Beacon of Light School has been awarded the Quality in Careers Standard

“fully meeting the standard” incorporating meeting Gatsby Benchmarks.

This is in recognition of your excellent careers education, information, advice and guidance provision incorporating Gatsby Benchmarks.

This is awarded by Positive Steps which is a Licensed Awarding Body for the national standard delivering the award using the Inspiring IAG approach. It is a well-deserved achievement that recognises your hard work and that of all your staff.

Your certificate is attached. It is valid for three years and, in order to maintain the status of the award, it is now a requirement of our licensing that you have an Annual Review of your provision which needs to be carried out with your Inspiring IAG mentor, until the award is due for reaccreditation on 12^th October 2026.

To help us with our quality assurance and planning, we will email you separately an evaluation to be completed by accessing a link to Microsoft Forms, which we would be grateful if you could complete. If you would like to include The Quality in Careers Standard logo in your organisation’s publicity, it is attached along with the Inspiring IAG logo.
