Inspiring Talk with Paul Hannaford

We were honoured to welcome Paul Hannaford to our school as a guest speaker, where he delivered a powerful and thought-provoking talk to our students.

Paul is a renowned motivational speaker and educator who has dedicated his life to raising awareness about the dangers of addiction, gang involvement and knife crime. Having overcome a 23-year struggle with addiction and crime, Paul now uses his personal experiences to help young people make positive life choices.

Since 2009, Paul has spoken to over 400,000 young people across the UK, including in primary and secondary schools, youth centres, young offenders and professional footbal clubs. 

During his visit to our school, Paul shared his journey, detailing the challenges he faced in the past with addiction, his involvement in gangs and the consequences of crime.

The session proved to be both insightful and educational, resonating with our students. Many expressed how Paul's story gave them a new perspective on the repercussions of certain life decisions, as well as the value of resilience and the potential for change.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Paul for sharing his experiences and for his commitment for educating young people about the realities of crime and addiction. His visit aligns with our school’s dedication to providing students with real-life insights that encourage informed and positive choices.
